I have been thinking about ordinay good days!
These are totally random. It is like my brain throwing fireworks into the sky. Each spark is a memory of happiness!
This one with the giraffe was a great day with Asher at the Riverbanks Zoo in SC!
We had soooo much fun that day! The chimps were crazy loud , aggressive, and territorial; small colorful birds perched on our heads and hands; and I loved the giraffes! I had never been able to feed them before, it was fun! We laughed and walked and enjoyed each others company and the sunny January day.
There were so many days in the sun, pushing Asher in a swing and singing to him. Especially Baby Beluga! He LOVED that song, and anything to do with whales. He loved to hear whale song, and we got him a cd of them singing. Those were wonderful, ordinary days that were extraordinarily rich.
Days with Warren were always sunny! He was the happiest kid! One memory that stands out is taking him for ice cream at Tanglewood Mall and sitting and eating it and then just being there with him while he ran around the fountains (on the ledge). And train rides at the local zoo. I loved riding it with him, the breeze and the sun and being above the rest of the world on the mountain. Away from the chores and again, just being there. He totally got excited about the tunnel every time! It was dark and just scary enough for a two year old but not too scary!
We spent so many days on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hiking, picnics, and generally just running around and playing. Grass, leaves, rocks, water, what could be better?
